About Erin

Erin Bince Psychotherapy.png

Hello and welcome!

My name is Erin and I have over ten years of experience in the mental health field across the GTA. Friends and family would say I am open-minded, trustworthy, and empathic by nature. I know first-hand the courage it takes to ask for help and to learn to be vulnerable with another person. Through my own journey I have come to accept my sensitivities as a gift. It’s these same traits that help my clients feel heard and seen in therapy.

Helping to facilitate
self-exploration

Our upbringing and the early experiences contribute to patterns of behaviour we experience in our adult lives, much of which we may be unaware. The way we cope with difficulties was taught to us, and we may not realize that there are alternatives. With increased self-awareness and clarity, you may choose to try a different approach. I value and respect that each of us is the expert of our internal experiences. My role is to facilitate your journey of self-exploration and provide guidance as needed.

Education and Experience

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) #007491. I hold a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from McMaster University. I am also a member of the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA)#10007038 .

My approach is trauma-informed and incorporates somatic (body) therapies, experiential, parts work, attachment-based therapy, and a relational focus, into one approach aimed to help those with complex trauma process their emotional histories of abuse, neglect, and complex trauma, heal, and build their resiliency.
